Continued from last episode-
Preamble: There is obvious gross interpretation of the
Scripture as a result of the way and manner the Scripture has been studied and
read. The inappropriate studying and reading of the Scripture has led to wrong
interpretation of the Scripture and that has resulted into wrong application of
what the Scripture says.

prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?”
Acts 8:30
Text of Interest:
“But ye have not so learned Christ;”
Ephesians 4:20
So educating the minds of the believers are of paramount
important and should be a course to follow in order to avoid the menace of
wrong interpretation of the Scripture. Apostle Paul speaking declared that “For
whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we
through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)
and also in another epistle written to the Corinthians he stated that “Now all
these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our
admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” (1 Corinthians 10:11).
This is an indication that the scripture was not written for the sake its self
but for the education of the minds of those that shall believe in its doctrine.
It is important to point out that without this, it will be hard for the
believers to understand the purpose of the scripture and we are in those days
where overtly, the scripture is being mishandled.
The understanding of the scripture will definitely unfold
the purpose. And to make sure that this is properly executed Jesus didn’t leave
the Church empty rather He gave the Church gifts, so Apostle Paul writing to
the Ephesians made it known to us that “He that descended is the same also that
ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave
some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers;” (Ephesians 4:10-11). These gifts who are men are the ones to
shoulder the responsibilities inculcating and unfolding the purpose to
believers.
And he said this will avert the dangers of believers being tossed to
and from by every wind of doctrine. In other words it helps to establish
stability in the knowledge of the doctrine of Christ to believers. For that
reason he went on to say that “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work
of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Till we all come in
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect
man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:” (Ephesians
4:12-13).
Now the point that should not elude us from the quotation
above is the statement ‘unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of
Christ’, this statement signifies the goal of teaching believers the purpose.
In another epistle, Apostle Paul puts it this way “My little children, of whom
I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,” (Galatians 4:19). The
formation of Christ in the life of every believer can only be made possible by
the inculcation of the knowledge of the doctrine of Christ in the heart or mind
of the believer.
And this is the purpose of teaching the scripture to every
believer that Christ is formed in his or her life, this is called maturity! Of
course it is not proper and ideal that one gives birth to children and never
care about their upbringing that is why Apostle Paul declared to the Galatians
as his little children of whom he travailed in birth. The focus is to make sure
that they are well taken care of spiritually and as a result no room should be
given to false doctrines as far as Apostle Paul is concerned.
The truth is that no one can ascertain the truth in error
