“But
as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God.”
1 Cor 2:9 – 10 (KJV)
Case Study Text:
“And
so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was
made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but
that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is
of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

Cor 15:45 – 47 (KJV)
Talking about Grace, it is the nature
of God before the inception the earth, and God cannot change, this also is what
the Second Adam has come to showcase to the world. Before the arrival of the
Second Adam, there has been so much misconception of who God is, in terms of
what He can do and the things that He cannot do. So many things that are not of
God were attributed to Him in the prophecies. Such negative revelation of God’s
deportment was one of the things the Second Adam addressed during His era,
through inculcation of the right doctrine to His audience. While doing this the
Pharisees and Sadducee of His time found that offensive and as a result they
antagonized virtually everything He does. They took it upon themselves to
discourage people not to listen to Him and as well they put well-structured
bottleneck strategies in place in order to frustrate His effort in fulfilling
His mandate.
His mandate was to totally implement
the prophecies that were declared concerning Him, through obedience and also to
bring people to faith to a system of government that has never being
established here on earth. This system of government is the Kingdom of God. In
the declaration and introduction of the Kingdom of God, He started relating and
releasing to people what the Kingdom is like by a demonstration of the Power of
the Kingdom. In fact, no one or any prophet in the past cast out demons, their
works and operation against people were attributed to God, as an evil spirit
from God. The ministry of the Second Adam demystified the operation of the
demons as from Satan and not from God. He demonstrated the prowess of the
Kingdom by healing the sick and delivering those who are oppressed by demons
and giving them freedom. Many were fed not just with physical food, but
spiritual food even the poor got their share (Acts 10:38)
This really debunks the belief and
thoughts people held about and against God. He came to express the nature of
God to His people. The notion that God is a killer and a destroyer was neatly
wiped away through His teachings, miracle works and right judgments whenever
the situation arises. His dispositions to the issues of life, especially as
regards to people’s relationship with God epitomize the real nature of God,
which indicates the opposite of what they have known about God. There was so
much confusion about whom He really is. Many couldn’t place their hands on it
and say for sure He is the messiah;the complexity surrounding His identity
makes matter worse to them that had the desire to admit that He is the messiah.
This situation does not affect the commoners only, it was such a bothering
situation to the elites as well, and they are also caught up with His identity
issue and crisis.
At one time one of the elites who
couldn’t bear it any longer, decides to come to Him by night to privately talk
to Him and eventually get a soothing answers that will quench his worrying. He
started out by flattering Him, digging much about His activities, but at the
end he got an epic reply that looks very odd. He went ahead to let him know
that what matters at the end is not the activities but that one should be in
the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus couldn’t chew the reply he got from Jesus, because
of its odd nature, and in fact he shouldn’t be blamed for his rhetoric
response, because naturally what Jesus said was seemly impossible to imagine at
any time by any sensible person. Surprisingly, to make matters worse for
Nicodemus, Jesus said that His statements are just earthly things and not even
heavenly things. That indicates that getting born again and Kingdom of God are
just earthly issues and yet an elite like Nicodemus do not know about them (Jn
3:3 – 12). And of course if earthly things like getting born-again is incomprehensible
for Nicodemus well heavenly things should be a no go area for a man of senses
like him and as well as the Pharisees and the Sadducee. No wonder they find it
difficult to pipe down His teachings.
