“But
as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God.”
1 Cor 2:9 – 10 (KJV)
Case Study Text:
“And
so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was
made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but
that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is
of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

Cor 15:45 – 47 (KJV)
However, Jesus cannot be the bread of
life, the light of the world, the resurrection and the life, and cannot give
people life in abundant if He didn't die. Therefore, He says “Verily, verily,
I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth
alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” The things mentioned above
were mentioned mainly in the gospels as in a promising note that will become
the product of His resurrection and they were actually established as He
resurrected from death. However, this is the ultimate deal He has made in
heaven with the Father before coming down to earth, that He should die the
death of all mankind and by Him eternal life will proceed and be given to all
men that believes. As He declared it this way “Therefore doth my Father love
me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it
from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have
power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”
(Jn10:17 – 18). This death is going to be on behalf of the whole world, for
their sins will to be wiped away through the shading of His blood, and by the
means of His death pave way for reconciliation between man and God.
This is the purpose of His coming and
as a matter of fact He wouldn’t want anyone or anything to sway Him away from
this target, because He has not come to do His own will but to do the will of
His Father who has sent Him to accomplish this purpose. A certain day, He was
speaking about this, that He will be killed and on the third day will rise again,
one of His disciples rebuked Him for saying so, He called him Satan, because it
was only Satan that will oppose this mission (Matt 16:21 – 23), of course Satan
can only do that by the permission of any man that makes himself available. His
consistent proclamation of His suffering and the glory that will follow to His
disciples make them sick, they don’t just want to hear that at all. He told
them that, is better for Him to go and they should not be sorrowful because in
His Father’s house there are many mansions, which He will go and prepare for
them and wherever He is there also shall they be.
Interestingly, Jesus has been using
the word father in many occasions and none of His disciples ever asked Him who
the father is? Now they are realizing that they are going to be alone without
Him, so the curiosity arose in them to know who this father is. Jesus told them
if you have seen me you have also seen the father, meaning there is no other
father to see except me. I am the father and whoever has seen me has seen the
father (Isa 9:6). This was a difficult one for them to swallow but that is the
truth, Jesus is truly the father, there is no other father. This is the purpose
of Christ coming, to reveal to mankind the love God has for them in manifesting
in the flesh and to become one of them (1Tim 3:16).
Talking about the house He will go and
prepare for them, Jesus was trying to communicate something deeper than they
could carry in their minds and He has no option than to reduce it to the lowest
level of their understanding. To the ordinary minds, it seems that He was
talking about going to prepare a physical building for each one of them. Well,
Jesus was not talking about any house, (because mansions cannot be in a house) rather,
what He was trying to communicate to them was that He will die as the sacrificial
lamb and become the price for sin and after He will rise again on the third day,
and His sacrifice will be accepted as the right offering for sin once and for
all. Once this is done anyone that believes in Him will receive His righteous
nature and a place of authority will be given to him or her. He or she will put
on a righteous nature that will not be subject to sin and death again (Jn 14:3
– 6).The mansions have been prepared in heaven and through the means of His
death it will be released to all that believes in Him. These mansions are
encapsulated in eternal life they will receive; the eternal life has a body
different from this physical body which ordinary men possess. This eternal body
is the house of the regenerated man; it is a house that is not made with hands
(2Cor 5:1 – 3).The exaltation of Jesus at the right hand of the father (place
of authority) would mean exaltation of all that believes in Him as well, that
is why He said “wherever I am there you will be also”
