Let’s Talk Vision – (Part
Four)
Partly culled from my book
“Know Your Identity In God”
Text Of Interest:
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it
shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely
come, it will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:3
In the previous episodes I reiterated how important it is
for one to have intimacy with God. Intimacy therefore, becomes the vehicle
through which God convenes, conveys and communicates His vision to as many that
have intimate relationship with Him. As a result of this close engagement with
God man is able to ingratiate himself to God and know and obtain what is in the
mind of God for him and the world at a given period of time. Vision is the
character of God and anyone in relationship with God will definitely be
entrenched in this character and hence the manifestation of God’s mannerism in
the life of that individual follows. From the book of Genesis we notice a God
with a vision and He began to make His vision known and the manifestation
begins.
God had a vision about the creation of the universe, and
He made it possible. The universe finally came into being. He had a vision of
the creation of all the creatures on earth and they were made possible. God had
another vision, and man was made possible. He had another vision, the Garden of
Eden was made possible, and according to His vision he deemed it right that man
should be placed in the Garden of Eden. Also, God had the vision that man
should be the head of all that He had created, and that man should have dominion
over them all. These were the visions of God. He also had a vision of a kingdom
or government that will be established here on earth, which would entail man's
active participation. Through incompetence and selfishness man obstructed the
vision, because man became a partner to the one against the vision. But God
being very focus on His vision, did not allow man's weakness to deter it. Immediately, God put up a great vision, which
was the coming of Christ.
"I will put enmity between you and the woman, and
between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise
his heel"
(Genesis 3:15).
As the process of this God’s vision was ignited God puts
strategies in place to deal with man’s weakness as He continues to enhance His
plan of establishing His Kingdom. This Vision of God was at the core of God’s
thought even before the foundation of the earth, therefore, was not an after
thought. For this reason when Christ came He did not speak about religion or
any other thing. His emphasis was on God's Vision - THE KINGDOM, and this is
the last Vision God has concerning the earth. Therefore, He is working towards
it very seriously. As many that are thinking in this line will join God and God
will enable them to participate with everything He has endowed them with; and at
the end when the Vision is accomplished they will be rewarded accordingly. So
God is expecting you too to join hands with Him in the materialization of this
Vision, the creation of a peaceful and prosperous Kingdom here on earth. The
starting point to get yourself involved is the Church!
