Welcome To The Arena Of Indubitable Truth! Topic: What The Blessing Is (Part 10

Continued from the last episode:
Preamble: Knowing and understanding what the blessing is will definitely enhance our Christian life. Over the years there has been a misconception or misnomer about what the blessing of God is, and as a result many who are blessed are thinking they are not and many who are not are basking in great fallacious delusion thinking they have arrived. In this topic, we are going to painstakingly unfold the meaning of the blessing of God.

Text Of Interest:

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)

Before we continue, let’s us examine the nature of this inheritance that we have received from God. Firstly, it is stated in the verse above that the inheritance is given after the counsel of God’s will, which makes it a decision or determination of God. So it is not that someone has done something that motivated God to offer him or her inheritance; it is just God’s decision and so lies within His prerogatives. Another thing to consider is that it has been offered or given to as many that will receive it before the foundation of the earth. Therefore, it is a predestined action from God and was done to be in consonant with the plan of God for man. This however, suggests that it was not something that took place because man has done this or that in order to qualify for it rather it takes effect in the life of man when he comes into what God has already done even before the foundation of the earth.
As the inheritance emanated from God, it means it is an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance. See what Apostle Peter says “To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:4). Since it is an inheritance associated with righteousness, which means it is sourced out of the righteous nature of God, therefore, it has to be an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance. Now, the nature of the inheritance is not depended on the nature of man but the nature of He who has the inheritance man is inheriting. I have to point out here that for one to inherit anything from someone he or she must has something in common with one he or she is inheriting something from. Note that it is your total agreement with the message of faith that came to you that makes you to be qualified to be born of God and as a result you have become a child of God. This is the qualification for becoming an inheritor of God’s assets and if one is not born of God he or she is not qualified to inherit anything from God!
Because of the sonship right the believer has in God he is made to be part of God, I mean an integral part of God. It means he or she shares the divine nature of God with Him, let’s see how Apostle Peter puts it “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:4). This depicts something bigger or greater than imagined with ordinary mind or surface reasoning of man because somehow one cannot fathom that it is real, especially with some religious minds out there. The reality remains that this is factual and possible because it is the purpose of God that man should be part of Him; and that He should live in man and does things on earth through man. It is God’s intention to manifest Himself through anyone that believes in Him through the message of faith.
Being a partaker means one is sharing the divine nature of God with Him and being in oneness with Him. Jesus puts it this way in the book of John “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” (Jn 17:21). This is the spiritual blessing, the blessing of God that you can be one with God the creator of the whole universe. That He can work in you and you can work in Him is incredible to think about but yet it is a reality, and it entails how much God cares and loves man. Imperatively, I can say that this nature gives the believer the audacity to be here on earth and represents God in all ramifications; therefore God needs not to come down from heaven to do anything here on earth because He already has His representatives here. These are His surrogates with His delegated authority to undo anything that is not fitting according to God’s plans and purposes, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”(2Cor 5:20).
Therefore, anyone that has received the message or gospel of faith in Christ and believed in it has been blessed in God and he or she has become a partaker of God’s nature, as a result represents God here on earth. He has the right to deal with the enemy and cast out devil and demons bow to him or her because he or she carries the very essence of God and cannot be subject to any other power because all powers are beneath his or her feet.
